Yamaha’s TT-R230 is a 223cc air-cooled four-stroke trail bike that is a great choice for both beginners and intermediates. The electric, push-button start engine gives smooth, equal power that makes it easy to ride for any level of rider. Its six-speed transmission and heavy-duty clutch are geared for optimal versatility and power.

As well as giving awesome power, this TT-R230 engine is great for maintenance. The CDI magneto ignition system is extremely reliable, and nearly maintenance-free. The air filter has been designed around the YZ for ease of maintenance and high airflow. Lastly, an automatic cam chain tensioner has been used to decrease maintenance and lengthen engine life.

Unlike the Yamaha YZs and WRs, the TT-R230 has a steel frame, but that doesn’t keep it from being comfortable and easy to maneuver. The steel, diamond type designed frame, compact wheelbase, and long, low seat height makes this model great for any rider and still has great handling.
